Looking to buy a Garmin Nuvi 360 GPS. Best price I found with shipping was about $716. The seller (gpsonsale.com) had a no return ever (exchanges of defective units for 30 days) policy. I'd pay extra for a place that allowed returns without a huge restocking fee.

Anyone know how or where to beat the $715 price?

getfeetwet.com for $745 was offering free 2nd year warranty. http://www.roguewavemarine.com/store/home.php was about $740. never heard of either of them. Could not tell for sure what there return policies were.

costco.com has the 350 (not sure what the difference is) for 630 - with the best return policy ever :)

The 350 is without Bluetooth. Costco's price is competitive for that model. Unfortunately we do not have a Costco yet -- one is under construction though. :D

Outpost.com has the 350 for $599 :)

360 is too new to find a really good deal on it without heading to a shady dealer.

gpsonsale.com has a $699 price for the 360 and $589 for the 350. It has an AA rating with the BBB at http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/CompanyReportExtensionPage.aspx?CompanyID=13205492&sm=. It has one bad user report on eOpinions but reports are mostly excellent. Sounds pretty reputable and the price is good. It has a no return policy however so you best be sure you want the product.

Question is would you pay $110 for Bluetooth because that is the difference between the 360 and the 350.

Essentially, if you buy a 350 you can get the exact same software and such as the 360 minus Bluetooth. There are major firmware upgrades since the 350 was first released. BT is nice, but not really worth the money. Previously when the 360 came out, many people jumped at it since it did have a lot more features than the 350. Firmware upgrades have eliminated that. You're better off just buying the 350.

Up here in Canada, the best prices for the 350 and 360 are at GPS Central. http://www.gpscentral.ca. Excellent staff and prices. Strangely for a while (might still be) The Source from Circuit City (www.thesource.ca) was selling the 350 for less than authorized Garmin resellers.

I have a bluetooth phone and no hands free setup in the car. I cannot use earbuds and often have a passenger (my spouse, usually) along who needs to participate on a call. My phones small speaker doesn't work well for this.

Would the 360 solve my problems? From what I have heard, it will not as its speaker is small and weak. Wonder if there is a way to route the speaker through my FM radio.

Also, right now the bluetooth connection cannot do much. But what will be developed for it over the next year or so? As a gadget hound, I am tempted to buy the 360 even though my head says dumb move.

There must be some reason the 360 is selling so well.

I believe the 360 had 700 mb extra space while the 350 had 200mb of free space. Also i found the 360 at pcnation.com for under 688 shipped.

Best price according to froogle.google.com is $689, so it sounds like your $715 price is not too bad if it's from a vendor you like or trust or don't have to pay shipping with.

Well I did it!!!

I bought my Garmin Nuvi 360 from ehqonline.com for $682 shipped free and paid $4.99 extra for 2-3 day delivery. PriceGrabber gave site a 4 + rating. I have no complaints.

The Nuvi is a delight to use. I am going to buy a cassette adapter to play it through the ration for around $7. Am still fooling with best mount although it fits in cup holder.

Wonder what with new security rules if I can use it on an airplane. I'll likely wait a bit to try that.
