Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Check reservation/availability status of flights?

Am trying to get onto CX 830 for this Friday but the flight looks to be solidly packed. Can someone tell me how I can check the availability of that flight? People seems to have a way of finding out the availability in each of the fare class and want to find a way to check and see whether I would be able to get onto the flight.

Not the most reliable source in the world, but http://flyaow.com/classtandt.htm shows:
Cathay Pacific 830
10:15 am
Hong Kong, Hong Kong (HKG) 2:00 pm
New York, NY (JFK) F0 A0 J0 C0 D0 I0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 non-stop 8067 15:45
I would say pretty unlikely unless full-fare with status.

christep> thanks. Am flying full fare F but lost my diamond status and am now just a gold. Is there anything that I can do to help get onto the flight? Calling the MPC office?

For full fare F I reckon you should have a reasonable chance - you should already have called MPC to get on the waitlist. Unless they already have a full load of revenue pax in F I reckon they would bump someone off from a lower class and let you on rather than giving op-ups. But then I'm not in yield management, so that's just a guess...

Doesn't matter if you're DM or not. You don't have guaranteed seat for F class.
Even if you're Gold, you stand a good chance of being cleared. CX having your fare basis details would help too.
If you're in anything other than "F" class, your chances are of course slightly lower.

christep> good guess, cleared J yesterday and got a F today. looking at the availability chart, looks like they now have some seats available. wonder how many seats CX is holding back on these flights
