Budget Travel - Rental Car in Buffalo, NY

OK, so what is the story with renting a car in Buffalo?

I am attending a friend's wedding, flying in on August 18, departing on the 20th.

I would normally expect a weekend rental of a mid-size car to be around $20 to $25, plus taxes. For the last 2 months, the only thing that has been offered is something around $50 per day, plus taxes.

Is there some reason that reasonable weekend rates on rental cars are not available at this airport??????

Typically, renting at the airport increases the price considerably.

You might try Enterprise, with their "We'll pick you up" service. Or priceline has been able to get me cars at reasonable rates. You've got over two weeks, so it's worth a shot.

Go to Priceline and bid on a car. I have rented in Buffalo last time about 3 months ago and I had the buick le sabre for $26 a day
