I think you will need request for special meal for children on the flight from JFK-BRU. But, you should need call DL and do your request for children meal from JFK-BRU.

I have recently ordered a kid's meal for my 3 yr old on ATH-ATL route (Y award ticket). It was a regular meal, but instead of "chicken or pasta" tin foil covered platter she got chicken nuggets. No toys or anything else special.

Yeah, That is kind of the meal they have on the plane from ATH-ATL and there is good choice for those meal. But, I am not even sure which meal from Europe flights to USA. I think exactly same meal during my flight from TLV-ATL. Maybe I should ask someone who know about their meal. Thanks! :)

We flex ATL-MXP last year, and ordered a kids meal for out daughter. She got some chicken tenders. I will tell you that they were much better than anything in the meals the adults received. If I would have known this, I would have ordered the kids meal for myself as well. We also flex ATH-JFK, and I believe she got some mashed potatoes on that flight.
