I don't use the card anymore and will likely be cancelling it shortly.
In the meantime, is there any value?
If so, does somebody have a link to
amex membership rewards that shows my options
with such a small amount?
Thanks in advance

The redemption value will vary in some categories if your card participates in "Membership Rewards Options" rather than "Membership Rewards".

Here is the web site, http://www.membershiprewards.com
When I went in the other day (first time I ever looked was the other day), I was actually surprised that AMEX's reward scale seemed a bit better to me than what I am use to seeing. Then again the only rewards I am use to handling myself is Delta Skymiles and my Hubby's Crown Plaza rewards and for both you need a lot to really get anything. LOL
You could actually get a lot with your 18,000. Sure it won't be a "high dollar" item, but maybe several "little" things. :D
ETA: Mia beat me to posting the link. LOL

With the 25% bonus going on with DL, you could transfer the 18k for a total of 22.5k and be just 2.5k away from dom tic. Providing you can find one ;)

Personally, I think this is the best use of the points, especially with the bonus offer. (Make sure you register for the offer, though--it isn't automatic)

can't seem to find the registration link on AMEX nor Delta. Do you have the link?

Amex points are not transferrable. Best thing to do is have her redeem her points for an Amex reward that you want.

They are transferrable, but its supposed to be a one time thing only. I've read on other threads though that people have been able to do it more than once.

How recently? If there is a way to get around this, I'd love to know about it--can you do it with non-family members?
The MR website (http://www.membershiprewards.com/help/homepage.aspx?t=about|1|1|aboutHelp#) states the following:
Q: Can I transfer points to another person's account?
A: No. The points accrued in a program account are not the property of the Cardmember, and are not transferable to any other person or account. For a complete description of the Membership Rewards program, please see the Terms and Conditions.
