generally it would be

intl access code + country code + mobile number

from US to Spain:

011-34-6-(mobile number)

or
+34-mobilenumber

In general, calls to another country from any country (as cpx pointed out) are dialed:
intl access code + country code + mobile number
In the US, the int'l access code is "011" (it's "00" in many other countries). The country code for spain, as cpx said, is 34 (the US/Canada country code is "1," UK is "44," Israel is "972," etc.).

Long distance calls within the same country are dialed:
long-distance access code + mobile number
In the US, the long-distance access code is "1" (it's "0" in many other countries).

For example if you call a cell phone number in Argentina you need a special code in addition to the country code.

I need that code. I know about the country code but that does not work for me.
