Today received offer for Platinum Medallion status until February 2008 for two round trip business elite flights now through October 31. It is only for Centurion cardholders and appears targeted. If you are interested and did not get the mailer, call Centurion and complain.
I have an offer code. If you want to try it at delta.com/centurionbonus, pm me. My guess is that it will not work for you.
EDIT: Code worked for first user but recent user said:
No go. The code was used displayed on the web.
Guess it was a one use code.

I haven't been a Delta FF, so excuse the stupid question...
What is a "business elite" flight? Does that basically mean business class?

Nevermind, I looked it up. Too bad everywhere is so far away...too long for a couple of flights just to get it, IMO.

Do you think they are trying to keep customers from jumping to American Airlines and flying on the new AA playground slide seats / ?

Not to burst your bubble, but I got the exact same mailer and I only have a platinum card. As I expect the majority of recipients do, I tossed the mailer right in the trash...

Not knowing how targeted it was thought I'd share it. If I had already booked a BE flight, to get 18 months of Platinum status, I might have considered the offer and looked at a second trip. Having nothing booked, I tossed it.
Don't worry about my bubble. Glad Platinum holders got offer as well.

Do the 2 flights have to be international? I can't recall if Biz Elite is offered domestically

International. Canada, Mexico and Caribbean and perhaps Bermuda do not count as International.

With two cheap business elite tickets you could do it for under 4k.

Thought maybe Delta was making good use of a Cent co-promotion w/ AMEX and capitlalizing on the CENT profile customer. Apparently not if Platinum AMEX cardholders are getting the invite also (I'm fine w/ that, BTW, but am still...uh...waiting for something in the CENT program anymore that has a hint of exclusivity).
Not to mention when I opened it I had the sense there was a catch...either tough to find or fly routings, or ultra-expensive flights...so far, theme of this thread is just that.
To top it all off...Delta seems to be scheming and scamming (from what I read in the skymiles program folder) in terms of award NON-availability that I don't think I want to get actively involved w/ the Skymiles program.
All things considered...this seems like a deal TO be passed up and a promotion better left alone.
Thanks again AMEX, for nuttin.

But it's the time that's a killer. All of the destinations are far away.
