I'm flying JNB-LOS-ABV return next week. I thought this would be great compared to my previous trips to Abuja via Lagos on SAA or KQ via Nairobi as I could skip the domestic flight on a local carrier. Having googled for some feedback, it all sounds terrible, especially the domestic leg. Would appreciate hearing of any experiences.

I am regularly in Nigeria, however I have not personally flown Virgin Nigeria, but have friends and collegues all saying that its ok, however nothing special. Safety wise you should be ok, and another big plus is that Virgin Nigeria uses the international terminal in both lagos and abuja..

An article on Allafrica.com recently had the president of Virgin Nigeria state:
"In the last one year, according to information, the airline has carried, safely and securely since launch, over 500,000 passengers and 1,000 tons of freight."
- this is good news in Nigerian aviation ;)

have flown them several times (only C) and find them reliable and with a good product. As mentioned, useage of the international terminal is a plus, especially if you have a connecting flight.

Have a nice flight!
