Hertz - Hertz International - Nice Airport

It seems that the Nice Airport location offers only the full size vehicles to drivers under the age of 30. Luxury, Prestige, and other vehicle types require a Platinum Amex and proof of age. Has anyone had the same problem? Or is it possible to get a normal vehicle (like a convertible) with a Chairman card for example and waive the "under 30" discrimination? :mad:

Do you have any corporate codes to waive around (or get on the #1 Gold line with)? I rented a car at Nice back in 2002, was under 30, and rented what I think was a full size car (it was a really nice Citroen).

The minimum age for Hertz rentals in France is 21 years of age* for all vehicle groups - except for vehicle groups Intermediate Convertible (U) for which the minimum age is strictly 25 years old, and Fullsize 4 Doors Manual (E), Premium 4 Doors Automatic (G), 4 Wheel-Drive Fullsize (Y), Hertz Prestige Collection vehicle groups Luxury 4 Doors (L), Intermediate Special Automatic (P), Premium Special Automatic (S), Special Four Wheel Drive (W) and all other Prestige vehicles for which the minimum age is strictly 30 years old.

Vehicle group Economy Special (M) and some Prestige vehicles can be rented with a minimum age of 28 years.

*There will be a supplementary charge of EUR 25.08 (excluding tax) per day with a maximum charge of EUR 250.80 (excluding tax) per rental for drivers under 25 years of age. Please note that the young driver surcharge is not available for Hertz Prestige Collection vehicles, any Prestige vehicles, nor for vehicle groups Intermediate Convertible (U), Fullsize 4 Doors Manual (E) or Premium 4 Doors Automatic (G) or 4 Wheel-Drive Fullsize (Y).

Unfortunately the Corporate requirements through AMEX, for example, are exactly the same. I guess I'll bat my eyelashes at the counter girl and hope for the best. :D
