Hello,
I haven't been able to find a seat map for KQ anywhere. My better half (all of 6'3") will be travelling OSL-AMS-NBO in Y on 09.08 [KQ117 - 777-200]. Does anyone have a link to a seat map or a seat recommendation? Also, does anyone know if Kenya Airways accepts seat requests in advance? We're on a RTW paper ticket so no hope of online check-in from OSL :(
Thanks!

I wasn't able to find a seatmap online, but I was told by Northwest (my ticket was worldperks award, biz class) to call KQ directly. I did so and got a seat assignment.
I think the number i called was the one on their website: 866-536-9224
That doesn't help you to find which seats are good, but maybe you can request an exit and/or aisle if you can't get any more info about the best seats.

I've flown quite a bit on KQ and I've found all seats are much the same apart from the first row in Economy. There is a solid partition between Economy & Business so the legroom is very limited. My travel agent normally blocks seats for me in advance, no problem. Aisle seats are best.

Anyone have any information on their Embraer 170s? I know these aircraft dont have Business Class, right? Im trying to select the bulkhead row, but wanted to make sure it wasnt too cramped. Any suggestions? Will be flying a multistop...NBO-Lusaka-Harare late night so want to be comfortable!

The first row has excellent leg room. The rest of the plane is the same - reasonably comfortable. There is no in flight entertainment.

I usually prefer bulkhead as well so that nobody reclines into my lap/walking space.
When we flew the KQ 777 AMS-NBO, we were assigned row 2, and I felt it was no better/worse than row 1 since the seat shell is stationary and does not move.
You'll be happy with any seat on that plane - their hard product is GREAT (true flat bed). Service was only so-so on our flight, and food was nothing to write home about.

Thanks!
I'm only familiar with their shorthaul and 767 J products, which I find just fine. I've generally found the food pretty decent as well, and have not really had reason for complaint about the service either. Of course I'm comparing with KL here, so . . . .
I've got row 2 assigned, think I'll just stick with that.

I prefer row 2 or 3. The 1st row on the JK side is near the galley, so possible noise and light. On the AB side is where the toilets are so, again traffic, noise and light.
Row 4 is in front of Y, so maybe noisy babies.
2 & 3 are cocooned by 1&4:D

Hard product is great!! Inflight entertainment is clumsy and the service is robotic with few smiles.

Hard product is great!! Inflight entertainment is clumsy and the service is robotic with few smiles.I ended up on a 767 instead of a 777, and the opposite was true. Although I really like the old-fashioned seats, and the fact that they go fully flat, the rest of the hard product (IFE, headphones etc) is bordering on the medieval. Catering and service, on the other hand, was great. This was no doubt helped by the fact that there were only three pax in the C cabin.
