Hyatt Gold Passport - Most affective month for elite comp

Hi, Hyatt are willing to status match....... What is the most worthwhile period of time to confirm it, to maximise the elite time. Its the same principal that if you are doing an AA platinum challenge it is best to do before June 30 to get over 19months as Platinum.

Also, what are the Platinum Extra Certificates? What are the choices/benefits? Do you find them worthwile or satisfying?
