Hi Cathay FTers,

This is board is an invaluable info source so figured I would post the question here. I recently grabbed two superdiscounted tickets for me and a friend to BKK and HKG on CX via the deal of the month. SFO-HKG-BKK-HKG with three day stopover-SFO for $771 USD including tax in September! Couldn't pass it up. Anyway, I have no status, and not even a seat assignment with the S fares, which is understandable. The plus is I get to go to BKK and HKG for very little money on a great airline.

On the 747s - there's paired rows in the very back of the 747 (66, 67, 68 on my craft) to the left and right of the center rows of four - so I wanted input as to whether those tend to be left till last (and hence obtainable at online check in 48 hours before) or if they tend to be popular. I accept that all the exit rows for that 14+ hour flight will go to Marco Polos, etc. but if you have any experience to contradict that I'm all ears. Thanks for your help. I did a search but didn't find anything.
