Hello,

I just received my first bump voucher from SWA. I have a few questions for the SWA experts.

Does travel have to end before the voucher expires, or can I book my flight before the voucher expires and travel after the expiration date. (Other airlines allow you to do this)?

If I cancel my flight, will I get the voucher money credited back to me, if so, how long will that voucher be good for? Does it go back to the original expiration date, or is there a new expiration date beginning when I canceled the flight?

Is is true you can not use the Internet to book your flights using the vouchers?

Can I use the voucher to book a trip to HNL by calling the SWA reservation department, even thought ATA would be the airline that flies to HNL? I would be booking through SWA.

If the price of the airfare drops, such as the ding fares, could I get the credit. I have done this with fares that I have booked on-line, but not sure if I could do this with a fare that I need to call for? If so how do I go about doing it?

Can I earn RR on flights that I use the voucher on?

Are there blackout dates, or limited capacity for passengers using a voucher?

Thanks again for all of your help. I really do appreciate it.

ML

Travel must be completed before voucher expires, period, no matter how many trips you book and cancel using those funds. You can book online, but you must pay upfront and then send in your voucher (after your trip is complete, I think) after which your credit card will be refunded. You should be able to book a codeshare flight to HNL with a voucher. To get credit for a lower fare you can cancel and rebook, etc., but it would require a trip back to the ticket counter since your voucher-purchased trip will be using paper tickets. Yes, you earn RR credits. There are no blackout dates, etc. with a voucher as they are treated as cash.

Hello,

Thank you very much. I only work five minutes from PVD, so a trip back is really no big deal for me. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer all of my questions.

ML :)
