Cool (except that it's on Aloha :( )
Might entice me to make my HNL trip that day (but return on someone else, or vice versa) and get my free birthday meal at Todai. :D

I agree. A better birthday gift from Aloha would be a free rt on HAWAIIAN! Garuns Ballbaruns. Vis a vis in 2004 the Mrs. & I held AQ Alii Diamond AND HA Pualani Platinum status, so we've had alot of first hand comparisons. IMHO HA is an all around better ride!

This sounds enticing, especially since we're set to head to KOA early next month and my birthday falls on the 5th. But, again, as other posters mentioned, you'd have to fly Aloha both on June 26th and on your birthday.

Double your opportunity to be delayed!

For inter-island, absolutely. Only if flying to the west coast and only if in F then is Aloha very slightly better, imo. (And those planes aren't 800 years old either like the inter-island ones :D )

I finally came across an ad about this in the Advertiser this morning and thought I'd post a link to more details:
http://www.alohaairlines.com/Birthday.php
The Our Birthday is Your Birthday certificate and tickets are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable. Inter-island travel is valid on Aloha Airlines flights only. Not valid on codeshare AQ5000-5999 flights. Not valid on Island Air.
-- One (1) inter-island roundtrip per person on their birthday in 2007 allowed.
-- Travel must originate on the passenger’s birthday in the year 2007, and return within seven (7) days of departure.
-- Other restrictions apply.
So, it seems, someone like our dear moderator cblaisd would have to wait more than a year and a 1/2 to get his free R/T ticket on Aloha. That's quite a long time from now. Plus, you actually have to fly on your birthday, which to me doesn't sound all too great.
For the heck of it, I tried booking HNL-OGG on the 26th of June. There seemed to be a lot of $39 fares still available both ways.
I don't really understand the logic behind this promotion. Most people can't plan ahead as far in advance of 2007, especially if your birthday lands in a later month within the year. So unless someone's already has a purpose to fly on the 26th, it really doesn't seem worth it to go out of one's way and pay the ~$95 to get a free ticket.

Just a friendly bump, as I'm curious. Anyone flying Aloha on Wednesday (tomorrow)? Please report your experiences ! ^

I did a SMF-SNA run today! Nothing much too exciting. All of the employees were wearing retro Aloha shirts and there was a bit Happy Birthday banner across the wall at the check-in counter at SMF. Other then that, it was business as usual.

So did you get your free interisland ticket? :)

Nope, nothing. I'm guessing I have to hang on to my stubs in order to get the free flight! But what's even MORE depressing is that at least 99.9% of the people flying Aloha that day did not even know that they have earned a free inter-island flight!

You actually have to mail it in!
