Oasis Air are due to start flying HKG-LGW in October with ticket sales beginning in August. Fares are expected to start at £75 (probably one way), I doubt it includes taxes however. Low cost but full service as IFE and on-board meal is supposed to be included.
More routes are expected subsequently to North America and other European cities.
They already have the planes (2 x ex-SQ 747-400's) so it is looking good for an on time departure!

Great find!!
Since there is a low cost airlines reference site sticky thread, I think it would make more sens to have your message posted in that thread, that way, any user could find the information all under the same thread, instead of having to look through hundreds of posts..
Just my 2 cents...
Here's a link for some news on that new airline and some airports news

The "correct" name for this airline is:
Oasis Hong Kong Airlines
I also note with considerable interest their plan to come to Oakland (and Chicago). This may gererate some healthy competition.

This is genius. For some reason I thought the launch was a long ways away, but guess not. I went to their website and tried some test dates and indeed got the 150 pound ($283) fare. I never thought I'd say this, what with the current state of carry-on restrictions, but Londoners are LUCKY! I wish they would come to NY. Still, if they make it to Chicago, I'd be almost as happy. With a NY>Chicago flight tacked on, the fare could still be about $400. There's nothing enjoyable about a long haul like that in coach, but given that I only run on Amex MR points and availability to Asia is not so good, I've never been so excited about the prospect of giving an airline my money.

Their biz fares start at around £1,000 roundtrip.

Including all taxes 261 pounds. Sub 500 US roundtrip to London is an amazing deal. I hope they come to the states!

I believe they are hoping for routes to Chicago and, bizzarely, Oakland. I also believe they have applied for a route to Vancouver in the interim.

Why bizzarely?
WN flies there, so if are looking they are looking for a potential US feeder network could be useful. Granted WN's prices aren't all that much, if at all, cheaper on same routes, but the public still sees them as a LCC.
And it's probably easier and cheaper to get landing rights.

Well, OAK is ok for a 737 operation like WN, but a 747-400 from HKG is a bit of a stretc. But, I must agree I would fly into OAK for under $500 fare versus SFO with $800 plus.

That as may be, but I would have expected alternative destinations to be served first i.e. NYC and LAX or even SFO.

How long do you think they'll keep their prices like this?
Thanks, OP

Just voicing an opinion... with only 10% of fares in the cheapest bucket I believe they will operate those fares for some time i.e. longer than a standard intro fare.

Oakland is a great airport choice. Via car it's less than a 20 min drive from downtown SF. About the same as driving to SFO. For those in San Jose, the drive time is about the same as to SFO.
It also has a great feeder network with Jetblue, Southwest, Alaska, and plenty of UA flights. I feel that this airline should do quite well out of OAK. However, dealing with the Oakland airport itself is another issue.

But make sure you use a credit card for this airline - it may not be round long (though i for one hope it is!).
i think it is run by some religious foundation or something; not necessarily the most stable background to launch a new airline.
