I joined MPC early this week with an automatic upgrade to Silver level. I assume it will take weeks for them to issue and send the membership card to me. I am going to fly on CX next week. Is there any way for me to gain entry to the lounge?

Thank you.

(and to add)... Your SILVER status is autoatically updated on your profile, so whenever you check-in for your CX flights, CX will issue you with a lounge invitation on CX flights only.

just make sure you have your MPC membership number in your booking or quote it to your check-in agent.

by the way, i'm more interest to know how can you get the automatic upgrade to Silver. mind to share if there is any promotion around?

I have earned around 35k Asiamiles on CX since last October. I first got the normal Green Tier status when I applied MPC early last week. Only my very recent flight (the one I took 3 days before I applied MPC) was counted in my club miles.

After I read the following post:

I tried my luck and emailed to the Club Service Centre asking them if they would upgrade my membership. I received a quick reply the next day that my membership was upgraded. (Of course my club miles and sectors are now reset to zero.)
