Hertz - Max number of ZE1 points purchase

I have been in deep with air and hotel points but just last year I started getting Hertz points (old employer had them blocked). I am looking to purchase some points to get the balance high enogh for a Prestige non-peak week rental. I searched the board and also on Hertz and could not find any reference to the maximum number of points that can be purchased at a time or in a year. Does anyone know if there are any maximums?

In talking with the agent during the reservation process, it did not sound like these were really capacity controlled (he said I could call in with the code for the res once I got the cert). Is this true?

don't know about the max number of points that can be purchased, but on your second point, yes, hertz is very good about allowing certs to be redeemed. the cert is just another coupon. put the coupon # in your reservation, and the days will come right off..

the only thing you have to watch for is franchise locations -- they don't take #1 awards certs at all. if the location you're renting from is type "corporate", you should have no problem at all....
