1000 per night to a max of 3000 per stay at any Hilton Family Hotel. Register for Hhonors and you will get Hilton points in addition to the miles.

I've got multiple Hilton stays from the end of May and beginning June for which I have not yet seen my BMI destination miles (1000 miles per night up to a max of 3000 per stay) credited yet.

It can take 6-8 weeks for them to be credited, but I have found that for about 6 hilton stays over the past 2 years, they have always credited eventually, same goes for Radisson SAS stays - though these are usually about 2 weeks earlier

So have I. Based on past experience I don't expect to see these hit my account until sometime in August (in one case last year it took over 3 months for the miles to reach my BMI account, but they did turn up and I didn't have to chase for them).

Is there a cut-off deadline (e.g., six months after stay, one year after stay, etc.) for requesting retroactive credit?

If your a member of HHonors it will show on your online statement the no. of hhonors points recieved for a stay and also the no. of airmiles you will recieve. If its showing this, then eventually they will credit to diamond club. However, if after your stay this isnt showing in your hhonors account then start chasing them up cause somethings gone wrong.

On June 10th, my Hilton generated miles (late May and mid June) were not yet present.
Yesterday, June 12th they were.
:D :D :D Now my grand total is just over 120K with ZERO membership status miles. :D :D :D

I've found my Diamond Club account almost skyrocketing thanks to the Hilton "miles"...add the excitement of not knowing when the miles will post ;)

My last stay shows on HH.com as double miles (2000) to my BD account, are you saying that only 1000 will be credited? Or do they actually post on HH.com as only the 1000 in the scenario you are talking about?

Wonder what happens if you do two contiguous stays at the same property--say, check in for three nights, check out, and then check in again for another three nights. Can you get 6k miles?

Not sure if you MUST be a HH member, but it makes sense as you also get HH points for your stay - Hilton lets you earn both miles and points.
When you've signed up, you MUST set your earnings preference to 'HH Points and Fixed Airline Miles', then select BMI as your airline. If your preference is set to 'Points + Points' you will only receive HH points at the higher rate.

Moreover, the points normally post on the first Monday of the month and I currently have nothing showing.

For work bookings, I normally call the hotel a day or two in advance and get my Hhonors number added to the booking. Like you I don't settle the bill (it's a billback system) and the miles/points have always posted fine.

This was staying in Swindon & Bromsgrove (I get to all the best places ...) so possibly UK Wide?

Correct, and if you book through bmi shopping you can get another 8 miles/£, so even with a little f/ex cost, still a good deal.

What's the score with booking through the BMI Website? I know I can get miles for the booking and miles for the stay, but will I also get HHonors points if I show my card?

Depend what you mean by booked through the bmi website.
bmi has an e-shopping portal - if you use this, you click through to Hilton.co.uk and you'll receive your HH benefits as normal, incl 1k per night up to 3 nights. You'll get you 8 shopping miles per £ in the normal slow/hit-and-miss fashion.
However, if you use bmi's booking engine (powered by expedia) to find a hotel, then no you won't, as the Hotel will receive an Expedia booking. In theory, it should be fine as Hilton allows airline partner site as legitimate HH bookings - however, I have yet to hear of anyone successfully getting a "no" reversed.

True, however, he shares the one excitement I have about bmi. Admittedly I only took two LHR - DUB flights on bmi, this is my flight history. Beside that, I sponsor bmi by posting plenty of miles into my account. :D

I am rather more hardened to their charms, and hardened in other areas of the anatomy too ;)
For me, bmi are my normal bus to work and home almost every week (ex-BHD)! At home this week and then off next Sunday to transit in LHR and on to DUS for a week's mileage and hotel points earning opportunity - oh and some work too!!
