I'm thinking of signing up for a Spanish language course for health professionals that takes place on Yelapa (near Puerto Vallarta). I was there in 1974 when there was very little development. They are putting us up at The Hotel Lagunita. Anyone know this place? Any recommendations about where to eat, listen to music, etc? TIA,

Definitely not a whole lot there. :)
I've been a few times (only for day trips) -- there are a handful of places to eat on the beach, and that's about it. The Lagunita looks neat from outside, it's a collection of little villas.
If you're doing an immersion program, I'd think it's a good setting...it will also be relaxing as well.
I still don't think there are roads to Yelapa -- you have to go by boat.

Thanks, United959, this is what we are hearing from friends who were there several yrs ago. I guess we can go to PV if we need play!
