Hilton HHonors - Points for being on two separate reservations at same property on same night?

In a couple of weeks am flying out of SEA and so booked a room with my inlaws at the nearby Hampton Inn. I put myself with my HHonors number as #1 on the booking with them as the #2 and #3.
It turns out they have moved their flight to several hours later than mine so they can sleep in so I am going to get my own room.
A few daft questions:
-Will I get two lots of points and two stay credits towards Diamond?
-Any issues with my credit card being on their booking when it comes to checking in/checking out (I can't see any to be honest)
-Anything else I should be wary of? To be honest them racking up charges isn't a big deal, am more thinking of the HHonors perspective ;)
Thanks

Only one stay or night (per night) credit regardless of the number of rooms booked.
Points for two rooms, but ONLY if they are on the same folio. In my limited experience it seems to work best if a single reservation is made for both rooms.
When you check in, check in for both rooms at the same time (are they arriving at the same time you're arriving and leaving later? A bit confusing). Have them save the bill/receipt that gets slid under the door.

We are arriving at the same time, just my AS flight leaves at 6.05am ( :( ) whereas their AA flight goes several hours later.
So do I need to get both reservations put on the same folio when we check-in?

So do I need to get both reservations put on the same folio when we check-in?You should definitely ask for them to do this. Otherwise you won't get points for both and will have to call and explain. But based on the experience of others on this board, combining the folios at checkin seems not to work as you'd intend.
If it's possible to make a single new reservation for both rooms at the same rate you currently have reserved, I'd do that and THEN cancel the original reservations. Otherwise ask to combine at checkin and save the receipts.

OK, that was simple. Re-booked with two rooms on the same reservation for same price ^

Personally I would not book the two rooms under one reservation.
Why?
There is good chance you might get both stay and night credit for both.
Been fortunate to get such many times as recently as a few months ago.
Technically you are not supposed to do so but since one will not post automatically if two separate reservations (and there is good chance even combining two under on folio even with one reservation number may not post correctly also) its never much of a problem getting HH to manually post the second after a phone call/explanation.
Four or more such instances within the last year or got me additional stay, nights and FF miles.

Interesting, thanks ^
Since I'm attaining Diamond may well be touch and go I may consider this approach. Fortunately booking and cancelling through Hilton is straightforward :D
