Jawohl! That is good news indeed. More HH family mid-priced hotels, including (who'd a thunk!) Scandics in Italy, HGIs in Germany. ^

I can't wait to see it happen. The expansion of the HGI throughout the US has been excellent; it's a great brand. :)

Agree. I've switched recently from Marriott Courtyard and have been pleased with the few stays so far. ^

Hilton is moving one step closer to its diabolical plan of world domination. :D

Seriously, I like that idea. That ought to make Accor start sweating, or lowering their rates for Mercures / Novotels.

Today's issue of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) had an article about the new Airrail Center at Frankfurt Airport. They also mention the opening of the new Hilton Hotel and the nearby Hilton Garden In. They have together 39000 square meter. The contract with Hilton about running the hotel is 20 years.

It seems Sheraton started something with their 4-Points (although it *has* taken a while for Hilton and others to pick up on it) competing for the Novotel/Mercure market. I see where Marriott is opening a Courtyard in Munich in a few months, too.

Good to see!
