When you make a reservation on the new USairways.com, it will process on your credit card statement as "America West Airlines"... i'm sure that a few US East customers will be calling their credit card companies asking about these charges.... :P

As long as I am charged correctly and I get all of my credit card miles and my flight miles/bonuses, I will be fine!
I have this problem with my BofA Visa.
Also, interestingly enough, when I checked-in with my (new) USAirways.com reservation, it was hard for the ticket counter to "find" my reservation. The confirmation code "is not ours." After some fumbling, the agent say, "you should have told us that you bought your ticket from America West." Huh? I bought it at USAirways.com.

I noticed the "America West Airlines" on my credit card statement too. All tickets sold on the new website are on HP ticket stock (401) instead of US ticket stock (037) which is probably why the agent thought you bought from HP.

Yeah, you did, but that reservations system is HP Shares and I believe the US (East) agents and ticket counters are still on the Sabre system, which would explain this, probably.

Oddly enough, I bought a ticket on the new US site and when I went to PHX to check in, the kiosk said go see the gate agent, because it didn't like my CP FF number. At least thats what they told me....
Wouldn't it make sense to get the mainline hubs all on the same system sooner or later? Then slowly roll out the system by regions from there? What are they doing in cities e.g. SFO that had both systems?
We really deserve some type of double miles promo like AA or UA after all this is through.... and I should point out.. so do all the front line people at both airlines who have to deal with all of us frustrated souls...

I think I posted this in another thread, but you are right. When you book online, it shows up as an HP booking on their reservations system and on yoru credit card, which reeks havoc on the Sabre systems still in operation at many airports and on the US East phone lines. Plus, I think our frequent flyer numbers have different numbers of digits, I guess dependent on whether you have an Flight Fund based number or a Dividend Miles based number. I have a US number and mine is six digits. So the systems are having trouble recognizing them. What a mess!

This merger is truly a mess.... I should have booked on Orbitz.com instead :P
