Los Angeles - Universal Studios Hollywood - Discount Tix?

Hi -

Family and I will be in LA area for a week of R&R from July 1 thru July 8. We'll probably spend a day at Universal Studios Hollywood and are looking to see about discount tickets through various promotions (markets, AAA, etc.) Any good ideas out there for how to get the best discounts?

Don't know if this helps you much, but if you plan on coming back to LA Universal has a perennially running buy a day, get a year free promotion.

On their home page (http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/hollywood/website/) they also list a $10 off General Admission coupon under the Hot Deals column. Sometimes Ralphs will run a Uni promotion but I haven't seen one lately and I doubt they would start something for 4th of July week.

You've got a good website there. You might also want to check the LA Times website for one. AAA, as you mention, is a good source too. I think $10 off is about as good as it gets. By the way, have you considered Sea World in San Diego? It's very impressive!

Thanks for the responses. Looks as though the $10 off is as good as it may get. We're only gonna spend one day so the annual pass idea won't work.
