I'm booked into the Holiday Inn Asiaworld in Taipei via PL and it looks like the hotel is currently undergoing a strike. (Article) (http://www.chinapost.com.tw/taiwan/detail.asp?ID=84246&GRP=B)
This has apparently affected hotel operations somewhat and the level of service is very poor.
I arrive into TPE on Wednesday night and am wondering what my options are, as it sounds like the hotel is not a very pleasant option at this point.
I called PL customer service and they are going to call the hotel "first thing in the morning" from the east coast, which would be the middle of the night in TPE, and get back to me about making other arrangements, etc.
Personally, I don't feel comfortable crossing picket lines, no matter the situation. I wonder if PL feels like that's a valid objection...
Any input welcomed.
