BKKROP Jun 17, 06, 8:25 pm Hello yan19454, The Seafood Palace at 89 Sukhumvit is good but it's full of tourist, very price orientated towards them and you will rarely see a Thai there. There are large tanks of live product and the waiters catch your fish/prawns/lobster for you. You pay by the kilo. I noticed you mentioned hotels and when in BKK, we do a lot of lunchtime entertaining at the Royal Orchid Sheraton which has an excellent seafood lunch/buffet at a low price (can't remmember the cost but it's reasonable) and of late have tried the newish Hilton across the waters and that is fantastic but was a littlt more expensive. Our guests have always raved about the ROS, as with all the river locations, it's the passing traffic of rice barges, and hotel ferries that makes along with the food a memorable long lunch. you will enjoy it. tedkarma Jun 18, 06, 10:12 pm I went to Lord Jim's Seafood Buffet on a Saturday. Just a higher price on Sundays if I recall correctly. From their website: Opening Hours Buffet lunch: Sundays 11am-3pm Saturdays & Public Holidays 11:30am-3pm Dinner: 7pm-10:30pm (last order) Lord Jim's (http://www.mandarinoriental.com/hotel/510000237.asp) |
