As this isn't a mileage earning fare, I'm going to move this the Budget Travel forum where it may be more useful.

I like JetStar Asia the best of the LCCs in SE Asia, as they stick with the standard 20kg on bags (not trying to play gotcha there for an extra $20), and they have assigned seats at least on the day of the flight.

As for Siem Reap, savvy budget travelers know to fly there from KUL or SIN, but I'll bet quite a few people are still taking that expensive Bangkok Airways RT out of BKK.

Definitely get to Angkor if you haven't been. It'll only get more crowded if you procrastinate. It'll really hit the point of no return when they put the McDonald's on the road between the temples and Siem Reap.

I took both. :)

Sometimes, people don't visit only one destination. In my case, we visited SIN, followed by REP, and followed by BKK.

Jetstar SIN to REP was about $77, but it was impractical to go REP-SIN-BKK, so we took the one-way REP-BKK on PG for ~$122. Of course, really budget travelers can take the bus across the Cambodian border, too. That is, if they have the time and fortitude to deal with the hassle of "unofficial" visa stops. :)
