(part of survey sent to me)

Priceline's newest way to help our favorite customers save even more money on travel. Now every time you book travel on Priceline, you'll automatically earn a special reward that we like to call "Bills", conveniently named after our spokesman Bill Shatner.

Priceline Bills are Easy to Earn:

* You'll earn Bills when you book airline tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars, vacation packages, and even tours & attractions on Priceline.com.

* There are no account numbers to remember or cards to carry. In fact, we'll do all of the work for you. Simply sign-in each time you visit Priceline and we'll automatically credit your account with the right amount of Bills after every travel purchase.

* Your Bills will be stored in your own private online account at Priceline. You can check your balance or exchange your Bills for great rewards at any time.

Priceline Bills are Easy to Use:

* Earning Priceline Bills is one of the fastest ways to earn free travel. Unlike most reward programs that make you take multiple trips before you can claim your rewards, Priceline Bills can be exchanged for money saving coupons and other cool rewards after only a few quick trips.

* These money saving coupons work just like real money. We'll add them to your offer price when you Name Your Own Price® for airline tickets, hotel rooms, or rental cars.

* Exchange your Bills whenever you want. We've made it easy for you to do it all online, directly from your own private account. And at Priceline, there are no blackout days to worry about.

So whether you want to redeem your Bills quickly for additional savings, or save up enough Bills for a free trip, Priceline makes it happen for you faster than anywhere else. Priceline Bills is our way of saying thanks for being a loyal Priceline traveler

the questions re: this potential service (all answers are: not likely to very likely with a gauge of 1-5):

1) How likely would you be to participate in this rewards program if it were offered to you?

2) How likely are you to increase your travel purchases at Priceline versus at other online Web sites if this rewards program were offered to you?

3) How unique is this loyalty program compared to other travel loyalty/point programs that you are aware of or that you have already joined?

4) How important would the following benefits/rewards be to you if they were offered to you as part of this Priceline rewards program?

5) Preferred access to senior travel operators 24 hours a day.

6) Allow changes to Name Your Own Price® travel reservations within 24 hours of purchase.

7) Exchange your Priceline Bills for coupons at other companies like Amazon, Starbucks, Itunes, etc.

8) Waive Priceline’s standard processing fees on air, hotel, and rental car purchases.

Please provide any additional comments or feedback that will help us to improve this rewards program for you:

While we all would welcome some freebies, I don't see this as a great motivator. PL is about saving money. Since they have little or no competition, Im not sure on the value of this program.

I miss the eBay Anything Points-earning ability for Priceline bookings. I'd take the option to earn Asia Miles. :D

I got a survey too. What is funny is that instead of "Bills" they referred to the reward as "Blue Chips". Hmmmm...

I suspect PL is trying to increase the "regular" online travel part of their company. Give customers a reason to book through PL (lowestfare.com) instead of expedia, travelocity etc.

They may extend some of the "perks" to name your own price customers but I doubt that's the main motivation of the proposed new program.
