Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - HELP! 911 Bidding to go to Puerto Plata from Denver

This is my first post so I need all the help I can get! LOL! What is the best way to bid on hotwire or priceline for a flight, as I am trying to get to Puerto Plata on June 29th with a return on July 5th. Everything I find coming out of Denver is $700. dollars or more just for air!. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!.

Orbitz, CheapTickets, and AA.com all show similar rates of around $580 or so for the plane tickets and $150 for taxes. You are not going to be able to avoid the taxes, and the $580 for flights in two weeks in the middle of the summer may be the best you can do. If you want to try Priceline, go to betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com, CAREFULLY read the instructions on how to bid for airline tickets, and then see if anyone else has obtained tickets in late June/early July and what they bid.
