I need to go to Europe this August from ORD, I found ORD-GVA on Kuwait Airways for $589 on farecompare...
Has anyone flown them? If so, how was it?
Also, I can't seem to find a way to book it. Anyone know if it's bookable?

I know that Kuwait Airways was the last IATA airline to introduce non-smoking flights in 2005!!
I was told that hospitality is great with them, even in Y!
Doesn't fare compare link you to a website where it's bookable!?
They are a dry (i.e. no alchohol served) airline, if that kind of thing makes a difference.
If not, go for it. It won't be a first class experience, but you it should get you between two places.

If I had a dime for every time I find something that a link from FareCompare does not let me book
Maybe it's just me, but I've had terrible time booking the low priced fares there. No, not every time, but enough so that I don't get excited when I find something :(
To mlbcard, if it's bookable, you should be able to take it to a Travel Agent and have them (for their fee) ticket it, or call Kuwait Airways direct (they've got to have a number). Or you could try Expedia, I think I had the best luck with them trying to buy a ticket that FareCompare found.
Let us know how you make out.

Thanks for the replies. I tried Kuwait Airway's website, but they don't have on-line booking. They do have a number at ORD, I'm still deciding if I want to go for it (since I really need to get to FRA not GVA), but if the price really is what farecompare says, I might be able to get to FRA cheaper by flying to GVA first.

I flew from ORD to AMS on Kuwait a couple of years ago. Although IIRC the flight was non-smoking, the plane had clearly been smoked in recently, as it reeked of tobacco smoke. Otherwise the trip was fine, decent service, edible food, relatively new Airbus (340 I think ?).
I also had trouble ticketing the flight. Found the fare on Travelocity but couldn't book it there. Finally booked it through a Travel Agent, but that was a bit of trouble as well (something about getting the right ticket stock I think).
The other main downside of flying Kuwait is that I do not believe they are a member of any Frequent Flyer program, and their own program is just about useless.
I would probably look for a cheap fare to Manchester (several airlines have had sales recently) and then fly Hapaq-Lloyd, www.hlx.com , to Cologne.

The fare has been showing up on Fare Compare for about a month and a half now, and is not bookable--I tried the minute I saw it (but the $380 in late Aug.). The fare was also showing on Travelocity, but also not bookable there. I emailed FareCompare and was told that basically there are no flights from ORD to JFK on Kuwait Air. Experienced the same frustration trying to navigate the Kuwait Air website, and trying to call ORD was of no use. Didn't think to try a travel agency.
