Budget Travel - Source for One way BKK or HKG to NYC

Was wondering if anyone can recommend a web source for reasonably priced one way tickets from either BKK or HKG (or even NRT).

As usual, all my searches have shown fares that are the equvilent of rount trip fares. My Continental miles only has availibility to get me one way.

Unfortunately in Thailand, you need to go the travel agencies in person to source for the cheapest tickets. And there aren't many cheap fares for oneway travel. What is the time frame that you're looking at anyway?

PS - and BKK will be the cheapest by the way when comparing between it and HKG/NRT!

Granted it has been a while since I was last in BKK (4 years) but at the time I was able to get a C class on ANA with routing BKK-NRT (stopover) - JFK for around $1,000. It would have been less without the stopover. This was available at any of the numerous travel agents around. I got mine at Chowla travel off of Silom.

Since this is Asia, you may have better experiences with actual travel agencies in your respective cities (versus websites).

Not sure about cheap one way tickets (you may be better off getting a cheap return ticket and only using the 1st leg)

OP wants to go to NY from EITHER BKK or HKG. Not from BKK to HKG!
