You should also be able to get to London somewhat cheaper through Jet2 or Air Berlin, maybe BMI. You might want to check out the train for travel from Manchester to London If you book online http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/default.aspx , you should be able to get a return ticket for 25 pounds (appr. $45 US) if you are flexible on times. With the additional benefit that you end up in central London. Manchester is also worth at least a days visit. P.S. You will need to get from MAN airport to central Manchester to get the cheap rail fare.
