Hot Air Balloon Rally in Wisconsin

Fun and some heated hot air balloon competition are in the air when balloons, many piloted by world and national champions, lift off from the packed fairgrounds in Monroe, Wisconsin, this June 14 through 18, 2006. As many as 60 inflated and tethered balloons light the night sky during the Friday Nite Light.

For the ninth consecutive year, Monroe has been selected as the competition site for Round One of the World Honda Grand Prix - the only competition site in North America. Monroe's 21st

The World Honda Grand Prix is the only international world-class invitational competition with competition teams in Round One from Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Hot air balloon pilots will continue on to Echternach, Luxembourg, and Motegi, Japan, to compete in Round Two and Round Three, respectively. Between the Monroe Balloon Rally and World Honda Grand Prix, the combo event is the largest in the Midwest.
