Asia - Hotel booking website for Thailand with NO prepayment requirement?

I am trying to find a booking site for Thailand (Koh Lanta / Krabi area) which allows me to guarantee the booking with cc but all transactions are done directly with hotel upon check in/check out, as in civilized world. There were few such sites available some time ago but I don't seem to find anything now...among others asiatravel.com used to offer this service but it seems to be prepayment all over...

Any tips are highly appreciated.

Almost any hotel you can book with directly and pay upon check-out. You will howerver pay quite a bit more than with the booking sites. I always preferred booking in a method that didnt require a prepay but have found the savings on the prepay sites to be worth prepay disadvantages of paying before the stay. One of the things I liked about asiarooms.com was that they charged me in US dollars and with a pretty decent exchange rate so no currency exchange fees from the credit card company. I dont find it any less civilized but it is different.

If you want to do it in a way you are more familiar then call the hotel directly and pay the 30% premium on the same room.

I have no experience but did just Google "Krabi Hotels" and the first site I visited was:

where it says: "You can make an immediate on-line booking, guarantee with your credit card, and only pay the hotel when you check out!"


But yeah, I'd find the hotel you want then just call or fax them.
