On iTunes USA it is possible to legally download the newest TV shows (lost Season 2 etc.) against money - of course. In Europe we still have to wait for another 6-8 months to perhaps being in a position to see those shows. To download them today, you have to connect to iTunes USA - meaning you have to have an american iTunes account with an american credit card (AMEX, Master, Discover, PayPal etc) and a matching home address. This is the problem of course - Does anyone have an idea or experience for that one?

Thanx ... Robby

You can watch some ABC shows (including Lost) free on abc.com, at least through the end of June. I found the player a bit annoying, it's done in Flash, but it is okay for free. (You have to wait through a 30-second ad a few times during the playback.) I dunno if they restrict you by IP/location somehow or not....

Yeah, its legal. The problem you may run into is the billing system. iTunes only allows you to shop in the store that is assoicated with the billing address of your credit card.
You could try and get an american bank account using a post office box...not sure how that works really.

I get fustrated when people want to go the legal route and they cannot. For instance, I cannot buy music from the French music store...doesnt leave me many alternatives for downloading French music...

To the *cough* point made above- there is actually some legal room there. Since those shows technically show on in Europe and you pay for cable and/or watch the advertising when they air, then downloading them isn't entirely illegal or immoral.

www.tvtorrents.com seems to be popular...but I wouldn't know anything about that. :D

Of course, here in the US its legal for me to have software to convert those shows and DVDs for use on an ipod, but itd be illegal for me to tell you about that.

You can pay for Itunes using a paypal account. Is there some loophole there that would allow you to use an american address? If not, just set up a mailboxes, etc. account somewhere in the USA and use that address for paypal & Itunes.

Good luck!

The paypal payment was news to me...that's really cool.
Thanks for pointing that out Kukukajoo ^
