I spent a week near Boulder, CO at 3 Hilton properties. Rates were fairly high probably due to CU graduation events.

Hampton Inn Longmont

Arrived late, got upgraded to king study room (slightly larger). Free wireless internet, decent breakfast, comfortable bed, friendly front desk.
Solid HI property. Somewhat expensive: $100+.

Homewood suites Boulder

Free wired internet - not very convenient plus connection was not very stable. Aside from that no complaints. This was my first homewood suites stay ever so not sure how it rates among HS.
Manager's reception mon-thu but I did not have a chance to stop by.
The place was booked and I had to use Diamond guarantee to get in.

Doubletree Denver North (Westminster)

Not sure what to make of this one.

An old property, odd colors: light blue walls  , popcorn vaulted ceilings and a few other features from the early 80s.

GM is definitely trying hard to keep it competitive: free internet, a bunch of bathroom extras (6 or 7 bottles/tubes) very nice towels (probably the thickest I've seen) and a number of other small touches here and there.
I certainly appreciated the effort.

Asked for an upgrade to a suite (that was only $10 more expensive than the exec floor room we got) but was told by the front desk clerk that none were available and that my upgrade was an exec floor room. Of course at least three suites were bookable online a few minutes later. :td:
Plus it turned out that they stopped serving breakfast at 8 am (!) to prepare for mother's day brunch. Ended up heading to Boulder for breakfast.

Overall I'd like to see another HH property in Boulder (St. Julien would make a perfect Hilton ;)) with DT's GM in charge.
