Great site guys! spent hours today reading up lol

Let me introduce myself, I'm qantasnewbie im a QP lowly Bronze & a former BA pax - not through choice, rather location ;)

Now I'm needing advice & assistance about where to put my miles/tiers ( god I sound so BAEC lol ) as my contract is finished in 18 months out here but I do intend to come back once a year minimal for holidays :)
( which i'm assuming 1 INT RTN + 1 DOM RTN covers me for QF FF T&C for minimal number of sectors per year flown with QF )

I have a good few flights coming up & unsure if BA or QF FF is better for me so any comments views etc would be great, heres my plans so far.......

Route Carrier/class Status FF credited

BNE-DRW QF Y completed QF

SIN-SYD QF Y completed QF

SYD-PER QF Y

PER-BRE QF Y

BNE-SYD-BNE QF Y

BNE-SIN QF Y

SIN-LHR-EDI QF/BA Y ( QF CODESHARE )

EDI-LHR BA Y

LHR-TIP BA AWARD BOOKING

TIP-LHR-SYD BA/QF J ( BA CODESHARE )

end of status year

I would ask @ BAEC but i think from reading both forums I would perhaps get a less biased view from you lot!!

red-e-deals...in the interest of points collecting are these to be avoided?

YOu know that the TIP crazy price thing has been shut down by the Lybian Gov?? unless you have a Lib passport or work permit your not eligible for those fares ex-TIP. As I understand it if you have not got your physical ticket(no e-tickets, or the other bit of paper that says they are ok to issue your ticket in TIP called a Prepaid Ticket Advice PTA) in your hand you will be asked to pay the difference when you arrive in TIP

That link has all the details last pages are after ppl discovered it was being shut down

The other FF program to consider is AA. Some QF FT'ers from this forum are now crediting miles to AA instead of QF (including me)

Are your Y flight's full Y or a discount Y class (O, N, S, V bucket etc) ?
