Which Hotel should I choose for a business trip to Penang? Near to the city or airport or should I go for one of the resorts out there?

I thought the Shangri-la was very nice.

There are more than one Shangri-La properties in PEN. I stayed in the Traders Hotel (fka Shangri-La). The rooms were small and in need of renovation. But the service was exceedingly gracious and faultless.
Everywhere in the hotel I went, there would be a smiling face eager to help.
The Value rate which includes round trip car service to and from the airport, breakfast buffet, and unlimited laundry (I asked to them to launder 9 pieces during my one night stay and they did a great job).
I'm looking forward to the reopening of this property:
