Hey all,
I'm lucky enough to be flying LHR-LAX-LHR in early June in Business Premiere.
Can anyone tell me what to expect in terms of food? I know what the seats are like as i've flown VS UC before.
If anyone has a current menu choice and wine selection choice they could post that would be great.
Also, is the LHR-LAX-LHR flights definately the new Business product?

Food quality is good (compared to US carriers), but surprisingly small (compared to US, Asian, European carriers). Pre-takeoff drink. Then, straight into the meal service -- no cocktail service, nuts, etc. Starter is a small plate with a shrimp or two and a few sprigs of lettuce. No salad course. Entrees are next -- again, volume surprisingly small (think volume of a Y meal, but better quality). Then, cheese plate (few wedges of cheese and some grapes), then a small desert.
I actually appreciate that they don't serve a ton of food, but still, considering the prices, it would be nice to have at least the option of a bit more food on the plate. Inflight snacks comprise a few bags of pot chips, granola bars, and fruit.
Shouldn't there be a main course in there somewhere, too? :)
With regard to the small food volume, email flightcomment@airnz.co.nz . In conversation with pursers/FAs/etc they definitely are hearing that the portions are too small and they encourage people to tell Air NZ that.

Entrees are in American English what we (correctly, of course ;) ) call mains.

NZ doesn't serve nuts but does have a pre-meal packet of vege crisps.

I flew LHR LAX late last year and the food really wasn't up to scratch I thought....though the dessert was sublime. I was annoyed the menus weren't loaded and the portions were very small. I actually emailed NZ and complained.
However the service and the new IFE really made up for the below average catering and the fact it only took 25 mins from the time I depanned to be outside T2 at LAX made for a great flight.
