I'm trying to book a flight on the LHR-LAX service in Premium Economy. However, the AirNewZealand website for "international bookings" doesn't allow me to select Eco Premium. So I can just select Class W which is the lowest Eco. Anyone could help me?
Yes. Fly Virgin Atlantic.
Usually I am a big advocate for Air NZ. But their Premium Economy is grossly inferior to Virgin Atlantic's on the same route, with unacceptably narrow seats.

Thanks... however I would prefer to get status miles on Star Alliance.

I don't think you can book Premium Economy through the regular web booking engine. You have to go through the "Web Specials" system:
- Go to the airnz.co.uk front page
- Click on the blue "view all web specials" button
- Click on "London to Los Angeles. Pacific Premium Economy"
The price links on that page will take you to a different booking engine.

I've tried that but it goes to an ITN website where Economy Plus doesn't exist. I wonder why the airline doesn't advertise its premium eco more agressively... Worse, we cannot even book it.

Are you sure? Following the instructions above takes you to the "quik-auctions.com" booking engine, not ITN. You need to click on the links where it says "Option 1 - 42 day AP: 12 May - 31 Mar £939*", etc.

I finally got to the site mentioned above, but then decided to go for UA with E+. Not as good as Air New Zealand, but less expensive...
Thanks for the information anyway!

Which is fine until you want to book a flight on a date where all the special fares are sold :td: ....and then you are stuck. Sorry but if you want to sell the fare class you should be able to get at it from any direction.
