Hilton HHonors - Warning, keep track on your Scandic stay credits!

I was looking at my HHonors statement online the other day. My current stay count was at only 31 stays while I was sure there should have been at least 40. I started to manually count my stays and found out that stay credits for Scandic stays does not count up in the stay credit chart.
I have contacted Diamond desk about it and they promised to get back to me, but so far not a word from them. To me it looks like there is a technical problem, Scandic stays are supposed to be counted as real stays from April 1, but not on my account :p
Anyone else experiencing the same the problem?

You sure have had a lot of stays since April 1. My few stays have posted correctly, except my award stay which didn't post at all (as usual) although it is supposed to count as well. (both nights and stay)

I've had 6 stays at Scandics since April 1, and none of them has counted as stays on hhonors.com. I'm looking forward to your reply from the Diamond desk.
Actually it wasn't until the last year or so that the HHonors systems consistently handled Scandic activity as only counting for nights, not stays (as were the rules pre April 1). So if it took them several years to get the systems working correctly under the old rules, I wouldn't be surprised if it took them quite some time to change the systems this time as well.
In the meantime, I'd expect the Diamond Desk (or normal HHonors hotline), to manually correct VIP status and/or promotional bonus based on stays if needed. So I'll be keeping track of my Scandic stays manually, just in case.
My Scnadic stays (2) have both been credited in my 'nights' record, but not 'stays'. I thought this was because they didn't count as stays. As a gold can I ask them to cred these as stays too..?
Tks,

In case of interest to others, HH have told me that they are 'experiencing technical difficulties at registering 'stay' credit for Scandic hotels'.
As others note they only appear to be showing as qualifying nights. They also say they are looking to correct this asap.

Last July, I had two stays at different Scandic's. On posted in September and the other posted in December. Since they were award stays and otherwise had no bearing on my status, I didn't worry about it.

It may not have bearing on your status, but award stays -- at least at other HHonors' properties -- count toward status. At least they did last I checked. :o And last I heard Scandic stays counted toward the stays toward qualification criteria too even if it's not being automatically calculated still.
award stays (including scandic) also count towards fast track promos .. like the ones offered when members drop from gold to silver. :p

Is that (stay count criteria) being calculated automatically or did you have to phone in for that to work?

From what I understand only nights at scandic count, not stays.
T & C (http://hhonors.hilton.com/en/hhonors/points/points.jhtml)
At Scandic hotels, only qualifying nights count toward Silver VIP status; only qualifying nights and HHonors Base point earnings count toward Gold and Diamond VIP status.

Yes. That used to be the case but from April 1, Scandic count as both stays and nights. HH confirmed this in their reply to me, but noted that computer difficulties (to be resolved) prevented online accounts reflecting thsi properly.

I just got back from a couple of Scandic hotels.
The nights were counted. The stays on the main screen were not.
"Qualifying Stays Completed: 0" (I have not "stayed" this year prior to these Scandic stays)
BUT... when I check the VIP tier status to see how many more stays I need for, lets say Gold VIP, it appropriately deducted(counted) my stays from the required 16 stays.
Says I need 13 stays (I booked at 3 different Scandic) to qualify for Gold.

Where can I find these new T&C's? The HHonors web-site is still showing the old T&C's

I had the worst time getting credit for my 3 stays at Scandics.
Summary: Stayed for 8 nights total
1st night(paid stay#1)(Hotel#1)
2nd-6nights(reward)(Hotel#1)
7th night(paid stay#2)(Hotel#2)
8th night(paid stay#3)Hotel#1)
I was trying to get credit for my 3 PAID stays. At first they only gave me credit for paid stay#1. I called and asked them to credit me for paid stay #2 and #3. They said they'll credit within 7-10 business days. During the interim, I noticed Hilton took off the initial credit for paid stay #1. I called after the 10 business days and the rep told me to fax in the receipt. I thought this was BS since I had help originally without needing to fax.
I called back and got someone else on the line. They said it'll take another 7-10 business days. During the time, I noticed they gave me credit for 1 stay, as in 1 stay count towards the VIP status but NOT the points. I called yet again and they managed to give me my points, but only gave me 2 stay credits?? I just took the 1 stay credit missing as a lost since I had to talk with them for hours just to get the credits I received and dont want them screwing it up anymore.
Furthermore, they kept me on hold a loooong time to talk with a supervisor. I remember one rep asked me to hold and they did not get back to me until 45+mins had passed. They didn't even come back to check on me. I have worked in call centers in the past so I have a lot of patience for things like this, but I definitely would have checked back with my customer, letting them know that I was still trying to get with a supervisor. The rep finally checked in on me after 45+mins, then placed me on hold for another 25 mins
Want your credits posted? Better have free time :D :td:
