JetBlue TrueBlue - 98 points with 2 pending from Amex

My account shows 98 points, and Amex owes me 2 points from purchases already posted, billed, and paid. The problem is that the previous month's points just posted, and 12 points will expire 31 days from now. So I figure there's a 50/50 chance I'll miss earning an award if I don't do something.

What do you experts recommend?

I wish I could call myself an expert after dealing with an issue like this so many times, but honestly, even though the folks at AMEX are very nice and try to be helpful, I am so CONFUSED when they explain how the posting works! Coincidentally, I have 98 points in my TrueBlue account right now and will be flying Sat. so I will have another award within a week.

My guess would be try calling AMEX (the # on the back of the card)...if they can't do anything to help you, if you have another Membership Awards account just transfer the minimum into your TrueBlue account (although, it is not a 200:1 ratio like with the card...it's a 250:1 ratio instead).

Also, ask AMEX when the next month's poitns will post because you have 12 points in your TrueBlue account expiring in about a month.

A few months ago I had a similar situation. I was closing in on 100 points and the most likely scenario would have had me at 98 points. I asked and someone stated they just may spot you the extra two points.

So, I guess give them a call and see what happens. As for me, I wound up taking a different set of flights and got to 100 exactly.
