Midwest - Lawmakers to fund 4 more daily Amtrak trains in Illinois

(Crain’s) — The Illinois General Assembly has doubled state funding for Amtrak to $24.3 million, allowing four more trains a day to be added to Amtrak’s routes through the state.
The Senate approved the measure late Thursday as part of the state budget. The House approved the increase on Wednesday.
