Air New Zealand Air Points - Airpoints has a backlog for months?

Recently I contact Airpoints regarding my hotel stay claims. They told me they had a backlog of requests going back for several months. It would mean any manual credit would have to queue for months. Is Airpoints understaffed or what? Now I don't know how many Airpoints partners are crediting manually probably most of the non airline partners. I thought this timeframe was ridiculous. Does it take you very long for your partners credit to appear?

I have had numerous problems getting hotel stays credited since the change over to Airpoints Dollars currency.

A recent stay took about 3 weeks to post. Other stays from 3 weeks ago haven't yet posted. While not as quick to post as flight activity - 3 weeks is about the normal for me going back many years. A lot of hotels only send info to Airpoints once or twice a month.

I recently phoned about a missing points claim for a flight - I was not informed of any major backlog. Missing points claims typically do take a while to be credited unless they are for NZ ticketed and operated flights.
