Hilton HHonors - how to QUICKLY go from silver to gold???

Hi there...searching doesn't seem to be working...as I'm sure this topic has already been discussed.

But my question is how one can go about quickly going from silver to gold status, and when I say quickly I mean in the next couple of weeks.

Any reasonable suggestions other than spending another 10K on my hilton amex card????

You can call customer service and see if they can put you on a fast track to gold.

well so much for fast track. I called customer service, and they said there currently aren't any fast track offers to gold. They did offer me either double points or double miles, or the 5/10/15 deal (get a free night certificate cat. 1-6 after every 5 stays). I took the 5/10/15 deal.

Anyone know of a specific fast track offer out there? I tried one I found here - NAVG (for Navigo?) but it expired already...

How about sleeping at a Hilton brand hotel several times? You might even try staying at different hotels on different nights. Gold isn't hard to achieve, it just requires 12 more stays from your current Silver status.

You should try again. I just got a Fast Track offer (4 stays/9 nights) from May 1 to July 31. You might have better luck with another CSR....

Agreed, but if you are getting fast tracked you need to sell them on it. If for instance, you were a SPG Platinum and had only used Hilton as your back up but recently have been disappointed by SPG and very impressed by Hilton, they may be willing to fast track you.

As another person said, try finding a Hampton and maybe a Homewood near each other and stay a night at each... until you get the required nights. You can check what you need to advance by going to the HHonors website.

Yeah, actually stay at a hotel a few nights. what a concept.

For someone who has not done a lot of travel, who suddenly finds themselves on the road a lot, elite hotel status is appealing. So I understand the OP's request (other then, "Why don't you actually just stay at a HH hotel.").

I would give HHonors a call again and ask again, and again and ... depending on how important it is to you, it might be worth the 5-20 minutes it might take to get signed up for a fast track offer.

I also recommend calling customer service again. I too received a letter to fast track to gold....4 qual. stays or 9 qual nights between May1-July31. Also, if gold elite at NWA, in the member kit, there is a promo code for fast track to Gold....6 qual. stays within 90 days.
