Quick question:
Last time I flew via AC Vacations (YYZ to MIA in 2003), they did not have seat assignments. Even after we checked in, no seat assignments. When we got to the gate, we were informed that we were not confirmed on the flight, and would have to take a later flight. This was somewhat problematic in that we were to meet our cruise ship later that day, and the later flight wouldn't make it in time. Also, we were getting married on the cruise, so fairly important to get on that flight, hahaha. Anyways, we raised enough of a stink that we made the flight (they bumped us up to executive, albeit on a 320, meh) and made the flight (hoorah!)).
Current situation is this: we are flying YYZ to CUN, for my wife's cousin's wedding. Same thing, AC Vacations booked it, we don't have seat assignments. (we depart Saturday morning). Is there any way to use web check-in to get seat assignments before we even leave for the airport? We don't want to go through that whole rigamarole like last time. Is it simply a matter of the booking class, ie: are we "Tango" or lower, and thus prone to getting the bump? Silly, methinks.
Thanks!
