Just wondering if any FTers are going to San Antonio for the stockholder mtg tomorrow. Maybe someone can ask Mr. Heyer why *wood had a record year in 2005 in every financial measure but dropped considerably in Freddies Best Elite Awards?
Somehow I think he cares a bit more about the financial performance than the Freddies. ;)
In fact, I'm sure he cared a heck of a lot more about the coupon for free phone calls he was forced by lawsuit to send to me and millions of others recently, than the Freddies.

And that's the problem with Hayer vs Sternlicht.... Barry knew that long-term financial performance comes with fiercely loyal customers. Barry also made a killing on building the value of the "brand" because of all the hype about great service and experiences from guests.
On the other hand, I can't complain too much. My HOT investment is up, way up. But I worry it's all short term gain with the treatment myself, and apparently many others have received this past year.
