Hilton HHonors - Problems with postings of Triple/Double points promos

Does anyone else have issues with Triple/Double bonus points posting correctly?

(I'm not talking about targetted offers, but instead the special booking rate codes for hotel specific offers).

Stayed three times in a "triple points" offer hotel using the correct booking code, and once in a "double points" offer hotel (also using the correct code) recently.

All didn't post correctly and just posted at the Base points (+ silv bonus + points/points bonus).

Still trying to get them credited correctly :( (I've now sent 4 emails and received 3 regarding the issue... and even now only one stay has been corrected. Makes me give up sometimes!! )

I have had the same problem. I had to call and get is solved over the phone. I had a tough time with getting them posted. I still had the original confimation showing the triple point rate..without it I would not received the proper credit. The CSA and supervisor insisted that I had booked a different rate and that I was confused. :rolleyes:

Sorry, I haven't had any problems with the extra points posting! I'd suggest calling though, as opposed to emailing. It's easier to communicate over the phone.

The last time I booked one of these rates, the double points did not post automatically. A single e-mail to flyertalk@hilton.com fixed the problem with no hassles.

I had the same issue more than a year ago and finally called it quits in terms of total loyalty to Hilton.

I had four stays that were supposed to be triple points and ended up getting double points for three of the stays...and we weren't talking about Hampton Inn stays either...try international $300/night weeklong stays.

I'd call and keep calling and not let the time go by....with myself it seemed that the CSR wasn't able to make the point change and it got sent off to some other group (which I eventually spoke with).....which ended up dragging the whole thing out for months and I finally decided I value my time and could stay at Hilton AND other hotels when I travel.

Must say that my life hasn't changed much as a result of ending my loyalty to Hilton.

Well credit finally goes to HH for this one. Although it took 8 or 9 emails to get resolved, it finally is resolved. The difference was about 20000 points in total for the missing double/triple points, so it was worth chasing for.

For others contemplating taking any double/triple points offer stays, I recommend you document everything, and save the webpage showing the terms and conditions of the offer as well as the blurb for the offer.

I booked a 5 night stay at the Hilton Dublin-Charlemont. I entered the website through an e-mail link that cited discounted rates and double base pointsfor certain UK & Ireland reservations. When the stay posted, no double points--just standard base + Gold VIP bonus. I e-mailed Hilton through the ? link on the HHonors website. It took about a week, but I got a personal e-mail telling me that a correction had been made and the points had been posted. A comment was made that I should have used a particular code (HK) when booking, but having booked directly through the link, I would think that the reservation would have automatically been coded properly. I'm certain that I DID NOT SEE any reference to "use code HK when booking"--because I would have done so!

Based on the experiences of others, it sounds like Hilton needs to do a much better job in this area. Who's got time to police multiple stays, for heaven's sake :mad:

While I'm not on the double/triple points promos, I'm suddenly having trouble with stays posting at all, which has never happened before. Two of my last three stays have been an issue. One has never posted at all, even though the folio is viewable in the e-folios section, and the other has posted with credits for the nights and stay, but no HHonors points or airline miles. I have one more stay that's due to post to my account in the next day or two so I'm going to wait for it before calling/e-mailing. I've never had this kind of trouble with Hilton stays posting but now all of the sudden it seems to be a real problem.

I haven't seen any problems. One problem I have seen is the promo where you trade in your access to upgraded rooms and bottled water for more bonus points only to check in and not get these perks and then also not get the bonus miles.
