Air New Zealand Air Points - AKL-HKG : is it better upstairs?

I am booked on a AKL-HKG flight which should be a 747. I will travel in C with my partner. Would you advise us to seat on the main deck, or is it better on the upper deck?

I would advise the nose, with two seats with the same column letter eg "A" and two rows one behind the other eg "2,3"

I would avoid upstairs.

I don't like the fact that you are unpartitioned from Premium Economy. I don't like the staff/passenger ratio.

My picks if flying alone are 3A and 3K. I think that 1A/K are too close together. 2A/K no overhead space.
