Peru - Lima Airport Hotels

Are there any other Airport Hotels at LIM besides the Manhattan Inn (http://www.hmanhattan.com/english.htm)?

None that you would really want to stay at. The area around the Lima airport is not the best. It is a quick (usually) 30 minute cab ride to the Miraflores or San Isidro districts in Lima (the best parts of town). I can suggest a few hotels if need be. My two favorites are Hotel El Condado and Hotel Las Palmeras. There are lots of others, but stick to those parts of town.

I just looked up the hotel location on a map of Lima. I would definately give the place a miss. It is not in the worst part of town, but is adjacent to some very rough parts of the city.

Thanks rockdoc. What if we're just using the hotel for some quick ZZZ's? We get in around 12:30am and leave @ 9a or so. There's really no plan to even leave the hotel grounds.

I guess I would leave that up to you. When I was travelling to Peru regularly (+30 trips) I was faced with your problem. Several times I just basically camped out at the Dunkin Donuts and drank coffee until my morning flight. After a while that got to be too much and I headed to town for a nice hotel, even if it was just for 4 hours of sleep. My clients always had a car waiting for me and the trip was quick at those times of the day.

If you do use the Manhatten, I would be sure to arrange a pickup through the hotel. DO NOT take a cab from off the street/airport unless arranged prior to your arrivial. There are a couple of good car services at the airport that you can use, but don't run outside and just grab a cab at that time of night. Also, be sure that the hotel arranges the return trip for you. All in all, the place will probably be OK, just don't go wandering around the area.
