sorry i posted this in another forum as well, but theres so many forums i figured this would be a good place for this post as well.
looking for a fare around $250 US from KHH to HKG so far looked at the following.
checked dragon air (good flight schedules , mad expensive)
eva - slightly cheaper ~300 only via taipei and evening flight out of KHH
china airlines so far is best at ~220 but only evening flight out of KHH
cathay too expensive
any im missing , or should i just go with china?
looking for a morning flight out but that seems to be out of the question with a 220 rate.

Confused... Dragonair's published fare is TWD7402 which is about USD230+taxes which seems to fit your criteria exactly.

do you speak mandarin or taiwanese? or have a local friend?
your friendly local travel agent in Kaohsiung can you get you a "special" ticket
at least in "T" class, maybe, for you, a real deal on a non-stop
but it is not worth connecting in TPE to catch Air Vietnam to save $50
but i have not found the hotel concierge in a luxury hotel to be any help other than for a full fare ticket- you need to walk around and talk to the agency (who may well not be on street level!)

Er, well you should have said that then, instead of asking for a "Cheap way from Kaohsiung (KHH) to Hong Kong (HKG)" which in my version of English (the original one) implies a one-way ticket.
For cheap roundtrip you need a travel agent. Or, if there are two of you travelling together then you can book a KA Holidays package including a hotel for less than TWD5000 per person I believe (I'm guessing slightly since I don't read Chinese). http://www.kaholidays.com/kah/khh/showTour.jsp

i thought he wanted a one-way too, that was a fair price
so- can you recommend to me a HKG agent for ex-HKG fares?
i've used tiglion and aerohkg but am looking for "special" fares
but please, real legitimate tix only- no seamen's tix, no ex-NBO trips
and i can talk to the agency in mandarin-no problem, i don't need english but i can't do cantonese
thank you
